Cancer Sucks

My friend Monica and I just got back from the hospital, where we visited another friend who was diagnosed with APL last Friday. She's around my age with a husband, a 2nd grader and a yellow lab puppy. And now she'll be in the hospital for two weeks getting chemo, and choosing what the doctor referred to as a "cranial prosthetic" to use when her own hair falls out.

Cancer sucks.

2 of you HAD to say...:

Yes, cancer does suck. I'm sorry your friend will have to go through chemo. My ORMom had a "crainial prosthetic" but really preferred the little hats. She had them to match just about every outfit.

Please let you friend know we're all sending healing thoughts her way.

What is with this time of year? There is so much going on! We are in the middle of worrying about our friends' nine year old with sudden seizures and a spot on her brain...it seems like there is so much happening to people.

Hope the two weeks is all she needs--or is it a really long treatment? Hugs to you as you do what you can to support her!
